Appellation
Willamette Valley
In Stock
A blend of Chardonnay from our Estate and Freedom Hill Vineyard, this wine is balanced, lovely, and an excellent example of the superior quality of Willamette Valley Chardonnay.
The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine completed malolactic fermentation naturally and was aged sur lie for 11 months entirely in used French oak barrels.
Vineyard Notes
Our Village Cuvee Chardonnay is produced from grapes grown in Oregon's mid Willamette Valley. The soil at Temperance Hill Vineyard is thin, weathered volcanic basalt in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Freedom Hill Vineyard has very old marine sedimentary soil in the Mt. Pisgah AVA. By blending the wines from these very different sites together, the wine captures the complex range of flavors and textures derived from the two major soil types in the Willamette Valley.
